Belly Workout – 5 Effective Exercises for a Stronger Core

Looking for a simple but effective workout to strengthen your core and challenge your abdominal muscles? This belly workout combines five bodyweight exercises that can be done at home with little or no equipment.

The workout focuses on your abs, core stability, lower abdominal control and overall strength. Perform each exercise with controlled movements and focus on maintaining proper form throughout the workout.

Complete 3 rounds and take short breaks between exercises when needed. Consistency, proper technique and a balanced fitness routine are important for long-term progress.

1. Plank – 35 Seconds

Start in a plank position with your elbows or hands supporting your body. Keep your body in a straight line from your shoulders to your heels. Engage your core and hold the position while keeping your hips stable.

2. Scissor Kicks – 22 Reps

Lie on your back with your legs extended. Lift your legs slightly from the floor and alternate them in a controlled scissor movement. Keep your abdominal muscles tight and avoid using momentum.

3. Bicycle Crunch – 18 Reps

Lie on your back with your hands behind your head. Bring one knee toward your chest while rotating your upper body toward it. Alternate sides smoothly and focus on contracting your abs with every repetition.

4. Reverse Crunch – 20 Reps

Lie flat on your back with your knees bent. Pull your knees toward your chest and gently lift your hips from the floor. Slowly return to the starting position while keeping your core engaged. Focus on controlled movement rather than speed.

5. Cross-Body Mountain Climbers – 30 Seconds

Start in a high plank position with your hands underneath your shoulders. Bring your right knee toward your left elbow, then return it to the starting position. Alternate sides in a controlled but steady rhythm while keeping your core tight.
