This lower belly workout is designed to challenge your core, improve abdominal strength, and help you build better control and stability. It combines six effective bodyweight exercises that target the lower abs and surrounding core muscles.
Complete the workout for 3 rounds, focusing on controlled movements rather than rushing through the repetitions. Keep your core engaged throughout every exercise and maintain good form.
1. Flutter Kicks – 30 Seconds
Lie on your back with your legs extended. Keep your lower back controlled and alternate your legs up and down in a smooth fluttering motion. Keep your core tight throughout the movement.
2. Leg Raises – 18 Reps
Lie flat on your back with your legs together. Slowly raise your legs toward the ceiling, then lower them under control without completely relaxing your core. Avoid using momentum.
3. Toe Reach Crunch – 16 Reps
Lift your legs upward and reach your hands toward your toes while contracting your abdominal muscles. Focus on bringing your upper body toward your legs rather than pulling with your neck.
4. Reverse Crunch – 20 Reps
Lie on your back with your knees bent. Bring your knees toward your chest and gently lift your hips from the floor. Return slowly and keep the movement controlled.
5. Scissor Kicks – 35 Seconds
Keep your legs extended and alternate them over and under each other in a controlled scissor motion. Keep your abs engaged and avoid lifting your lower back excessively from the floor.
6. Plank Knee Tucks – 18 Reps
Start in a high plank position with your hands underneath your shoulders. Pull one knee toward your chest, return it to the starting position, and alternate sides. Keep your hips as stable as possible.
